New Sheraton Puerto Rico enhances San Juan's savvy image
Not your typical convention center hotel

Billed as an "urban resort,” the Sheraton Puerto Rico Hotel & Casino, adjacent to Puerto Rico’s top flight convention center in San Juan, is a welcome oasis for conference participants and their families too.
It’s also positioned to attract leisure travelers, and local residents interested in the 24 hour circular casino, featuring the island’s first multi-denominational slot machines, a really cool terrace lobby bar and entertainment space.
Punctuated with three pools, a bar, and poolside cabanas, it offers sweeping views of the city and San Juan Bay. Standing on the expanse I was taken with the panorama, which included cruise ships moored in San Juan Harbor and the fabulous façade of the Puerto Rico Convention Center.
A Zen spa offers an exotic array of treats amidst an Asian inspired décor of deep oranges and earth tones.
The hotel offers a 24-hour fitness center with state-of-the-art Life Fitness equipment, with great entertainment system built into the treadmills.
Additional amenities will include 22 Suites, with a presidential suite overlooking San Juan Bay; Sheraton Club level guest rooms and suites on the penthouse level with access to a 3,200 square-foot lounge, featuring an al fresco terrace.
According to a Starwood release the property represents a $210 million investment to create the area's premier hotel, which will appeal to both business and leisure travelers.
The Sheraton Puerto Rico is a member of The Starwood Convention Collection, an elite group of Starwood's largest group and meeting hotels in top destinations.
